Twos
Our goals for the 2's age group is for each child
to see learning as a fun activity; to cultivate a curiosity about themselves and their surroundings.
Each child will develop at their own pace in areas that interest them at that time. We watch for steady progress in all areas .
Age-group Milestones:
- Uses about 15 to 25 words expressively
- Starts to communicate with sentences
- Feeds self with cup and silverware
- Can socialize and play with other children
- Can listen to a 3 to 5 minute story
- Shows and interest in or is potty trained
- Can climb up and down steps
What you can do at home:
- Read with your child
- Develop a daily schedule. Young children are more secure within a regular routine.
- Let them explore and play
- Let them help with certain jobs around the house, such as setting the table, feeding the pets, etc.
